Walt:write a recount about camp and publish it on your blog.
Firstly there was a pretty unpleasant road trip. You should have heard the songs. It was horrible. Then we had to walk from governors bay to living springs camp.
When we got there we had a bit of chill time.
Then we had lunch, after lunch we had to set up our tents.
After setting up our tents we had more free time. We played cricket, french cricket and truth or dare.
Then we had dinner. At least everyone else had dinner. I didn’t because it was my least favorite dish in the world buttered chicken curry. Then we played a bit more, some people had showers, brushed our teeth and went to sleep or so the teachers thought, we all know no one goes to sleep for a while at camp so most people were up whispering.
On the second day we got up and had breakfast. You know the normal stuff: toast, cereal or both (not together obviously).
We did this thing called abl (adventure behavior for learning) it was over the moon
(most of it at least).
Then we went to the pool. I had an infected leg so every time something touched it was enough to make me cry so I was mainly slam dunking the balls into the basket ball hoop which was beside the pool. Then we had archery and I wasn’t to good at the start but I progressively got better and better I even knocked out a few of the targets.
For lunch we had nachos. It was delicious and Oli and I pretended to be girls his name was Olivia and mine was Alisha.
After lunch we walked back to camp I accidentally went ahead and luckily I have a pretty good memory because Kloe led some people the wrong way, because of that some people got back pretty late.
What do I know 20 minutes later we are at the trampolines and eventually we go on the monorail everyone screamed except for me and some other boys.
Then we went back to camp, played spotlight and went to bed.
On the third and final day we had to climb a hill and do some wood activities then the fun part and my personal highlight of the trip bouldering.
First we were climbing and spotting people.
My first complete climb was the mount cook climb when you start off upside down. Then you work yourself up to hanging yourself from 2 hands, then I did some other climbs. My favorite was either the iron man climb, the ninja climb or the snowman climb.
The snowman climb had really small hand holds and you had to put your back against the wall and work your way up. The iron man climb had really bad hand holds and foot thingy majigs.
The ninja one got me into the rock climbing competition finals but we’ll talk about that in about 10 seconds…
- 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10.
Okay now that you have counted to ten.
Let's talk about the rock climbing competition.
Okay the first round I won.
Which made me qualify to the champions round/finals.
I was against some people.
There were four of us two of them fell down doing a seven twenty then there was only Elliott and I
But you remember that bite I had on my leg that was infected I banged that and had to forfeit because of injuries due to that injury I was sent straight home and to the doctors.
Yes It's a shame I ended my trip in not such a good way.
But It’s better I don’t tell you how painful or how the treatment came out.
Thank you dan for taking me home, chris for giving me the ride to camp, thank you gina for looking after us in the abl thank you tali for taking oli joe and I back to camp from the monorail, thank you josh for looking after me when I banged my leg, thank you climbing ladie, thank you teachers and thank you alex.
P.s my leg is better now just not completely healed.
